Lily - for David & Kimberly - First Father’s Day

breathes softly now we lay our heads together
grand baby father find this familiar essence
that has forever joined us before time
suckled by a dream we sigh
and sleep wrapped sweetly in summer air swirled by
murmuring voices of cousins aunts uncles
Grandma Macha and rising steam from corn
brought in from the new fire by Daddy and Dustin
this sizzling meat offered to Mommy who eats again
transforming matter into milk takes from vegetables
nutrients perfectly balanced to this growing new body
the constant presence that knows truly who we are
joined by touch and air the dance of our
star-formed atoms the glowing fire of our cells
our spiralling dream within an arm of the milky way
we half waken to breast and drift again
softly lain against skin and given once more
this sweet summer breath we all share

My Dad and Macha came to visit for a week! Chris, Wendy, Dustin, and Delaney came to visit for four nights. It was awesome - the first chance they had to meet Lilian. Lots of love . . .

I have a poem that Dad wrote for Lilian on Father’s day, an adventure climbing up White Horse Ledge to tell about, and some video to put up in a streaming format but it is my birthday today and a slideshow is all that I have to offer tonight. I wrote a new slideshow script in PHP/Javascript to make it easier to share streaming photo slideshows. Let me know how they load on dial-up/cellphones etc.

I know that many people have been patiently awaiting new pictures so I hope you enjoy. More meat is coming I promise!

or

Both variations use two Ls - not 3. OK???
